Design process example. Working with Nu-Designs and their client, I was asked to design art that would reflect the look of the high-end office furniture the client carried.
The top image design was my first presentation. It helped the client be able to put into words a more specific description, which resulted in the design on the bottom.
(Top Image) I used materials and textures (wood, mesh, metalics) from the manufacturer’s photographs and furniture shapes to set the tone of the site’s design.
I imitated the screen-like back of the Aeron chair with a screen overlaying half the design. The logo had to be reconstructed for the Web site.
(Bottom Image) The client liked the first design but decided the design should establish they served Northern California. Using 3 very recognizable chairs, images of redwoods and vineyards, I designed this animation for their banner.
